  1. February – May 2020 – Council appoints 5 Election Board Members plus 5 alternates. – Const. Art. IV, § 3(a); Ord. § 2-1
  2. 5/29/20 – Friday – First date to file nominating petitions for candidates for Primary Election. – Ord. § 6-1
  3. 5/29/20 – Friday – Board meeting to appoint Election Committee. – Ord. § 10-1
  4. 6/12/20 – Friday – Deadline to file nominating petitions for candidates for Primary Election. – Const. Art. IV, 3(d); Ord. § 6-1
  5. 6/15/20 – Monday – Assure D.C.I. background investigations of candidates are being done. – Ord. § 6-4
  6. 6/16/20 – Tuesday – Secretary of the Council mails to each voter who has not voted in either of the two immediately preceding General Elections, notice that the voter must notify the Board within 15 days of the date of the Board’s letter of their intent to maintain the voter’s registration and public notice. – Ord. § 5-8, 5-9
  7. 6/30/20 – Tuesday – Deadline for Board to post at Tribal Office notices of each election and of Election Ordinance and any rules of the Board. – Ord. § 8-1, 8-2 (see also Ord. § 2-3)
  8. 7/2/20 – Thursday – Written request from Chairperson of Election Board to Tribal Council requesting security at polling place during Primary Election. – Ord. § 12-8
  9. 7/2/20 – Thursday – Deadline for voter to notify Board of intent to maintain registration, notwithstanding not voting in the last two immediately preceding General Elections (15 day notice sent out on 6/17/20). – Ord. § 5-8
